Mike's 1991 V6 Mazda 223
I've seen this car before on some Mazda sites, and always wondered who owned it. Lucky for me, the owner e-mailed me and asked me to feature it. This is Mike Huitema's 1991 Mazda 323 with a KL 2.5 litre V6 engine from a 1994 Mazda MX-6 from Ontario, Canada. Sure it's not a Protege, but who cares. The 323 is pretty much the same thing, besides being a 2 door hatchback. If you have any questions/comments on Mike's car, e-mail him. Here are a bunch of pics of it:

It's amazing that they could fit that thing in there.

With that engine and those mods done to it, this 323 can run a 14.3 second 1/4 mile with racing slicks. It can run a 13.22 second with slicks and a 120 shot of NOS. The engine is 170 hp stock. I beleive the old 323 engine is a 1.6 SOHC with 82 hp. In the future, Mike plans to give it a new paint job (with Volvo mangerine orange color), and He wants to get the GTR package, once he can afford it. So far, he's spent $4200 on the car with mods, and $2000 on the stereo. (Canadian dollars)
